Hello again!
I have started to add information to the Youth page, and I would like to feature some Coming Out Stories on that page. If you are a GLBTQI youth with an interesting coming out story, please e-mail me. Length shouldn’t be too long, but that is something we can work out in e-mail. I plan to have my own coming out story up on this page by the end of the week. If you would like to add anything to any of the pages, or would like to see/add an article to the front page, please contact me!
I am trying to update most of the pages pretty regularly, so stay tuned for lots of changes!
Hello everyone!
Most of the pages are being slowly but surely filled in, except the Youth page is totally empty. I’m working on it! Things are a little crazy since I’m finally moving into my own apartment, but I’m going to update at least once a week. I opened comments on all the pages, so feel free to (respectfully!) offer any suggestions or feedback for the site. Anything vulgar, offensive, plain mean, etc will be deleted.
Some crucial information about Justice 4 Erika is on the Trans and Intersex Problems page. Please check it out no matter where you are!
Also, I added some information to the FTM page. I plan to update the Transition and Youth pages today as well.
June 10th was the Pride Parade at Penns Landing in Philadelphia, PA and it was awesome! I’ll post some pictures below so those who have never been there can get a feel for it. BETTY, known for their appearances and theme song on the L Word, performed an amazing concert. If you haven’t all ready, check out Philly Pride to see when the next pride event is coming up!
Welcome to Trans Philly Youth!
This website’s mission is to provide a safe and informative web-space for Trans, Interesexed, Questioning, Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Youth and Adults alike. Though the events and many of the resources will be based in Philadelphia and the surrrounding areas, I hope that this site can reach people across the globe.
This page is created with Transgendered people in mind, since I myself am an FTM. If you are a supporter or significant other of a Trans person, this website will help you to understand and support Transgender people. Please take the time to browse this whole website, as it is full of information.
If you have any questions, comments, or you simply need someone to talk to, my information will be listed under “Resources and Events”.
Also, please feel free to join and create a username, so you can respond to posts, offer suggestions, etc on the pages.
Thanks for visiting!
-Will
